Finance Assistant

Salary - £19,000 (per annum) based on 37.5 hours per week.

Hours - 08:00 - 16:15 (Monday to Thursday) 08:00 - 15:15 (Friday) - incl. 30 mins lunch

Location - Brighouse, West Yorkshire

A great opportunity for an experienced and competent finance assistant to join our client on a Full time basis and support the finance manager with full and effective accounts service to the company and managing the EFSA Apprenticeship contract.

The successful candidate will have experience dealing with all aspects required within the finance function as well as having strong administrative skills.

The role will include a variety of tasks you will need to manage:

· Sales ledgers - credit control, cash allocation and banking, print and reconcile month end reports.

· Set up and collect direct debits payments from customers

· Supplier statement and Monthly Trial Balance reconciliations

· MAYTAS Database - Support in learners starts/leavers on Individual Learner Record (ILR)

· Expenses - Pay authorised monthly expenses and maintain mileage records of Company Vehicle drivers

· Maintain accurate and up to date books of accounts and ensure compliance to accounting controls.

· Monitor cash balance at the bank, prioritise payments to creditors and review aged debtors.

· Liaise with customers and suppliers with invoice queries.

The Key skills and qualities we are looking for:

· Competent in use of accounts software and Microsoft Office

· Experience using database such as MAYTAS

· Strong organisational skills.

· Experience with all Administrative tasks.
