My client provides payment software solutions combined with cutting edge EPOS technology to the Education sector, and are looking to add to their field team with a capable Field Engineer.
Ideally you will be based in Watford or the surrounding area, for ease of client site visits, with occasional UK wide requirements too.
Your duties will include service, maintenance and repair of PC's, servers, Printers and EPOS equipment, and this fantastic company can offer on-going training, career development and the chance to work with innovative EPOS and IT equipment.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
* Diagnose and/or repair faults to effect repair on site, or remove to workshop for more thorough repair.
* Planned and regular maintenance of all on-site equipment.
* Daily liaison with the Engineering Scheduler. Close calls with the Engineering Scheduler as soon as these are completed.
* Provide the Engineering Scheduler with regular updates on progress, details of any other relevant issues, or further action to be taken.
* Full and detailed completion of all appropriate paperwork.
* Present a positive Company image.
* Provide a timely, polite and efficient service.
Job Qualifications:
* Field Service Engineer background to include working with EPOS systems
* Background knowledge in computer hardware (pc's, IP networks and WIFI)
* Clean driving licence is essential
* PC literate (all MS Office suite) and aptitude to pick up new software packages quickly.
* Customer service; understands and responds to customer needs (internal and external) and exceeds expectations where possible.
* Communication and team working; works co-operatively with others to achieve a common goal and communicates information in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
* Problem solving and decision making; analyses information appropriately to find best solutions and takes a balanced view to reach logical conclusions and make relevant decisions.
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
With strong communication skills and a professional approach as your foundation, you'll be self motivated, organized, punctual and responsive to client requests.
Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information is also key.
The role will come with a company van, and you'll need a full driving licence, and a willingness to take on significant travel
