Becoming a Revenue & Cost Assurance Analyst with Capita IT Services

Capita continues to undertake a transformation programme to simplify and strengthen its business. As part of this transformation, the business is looking to bring additional focus to its revenue and cost assurance activities within the Capita Network Services ("CNS") division of Capita.

This newly created revenue and cost assurance analyst role will report in to the Revenue & Cost Assurance Manager, CNS.
*This role can be based in Reigate, central London or Basingstoke and will require flexibility to travel occasionally between sites*

What you will do:

  • Complete routine reviews of activity and associated financials where revenue or cost leakage risks have been identified

    - Weekly / monthly / quarterly as agreed with the Operation

  • Proactively identify opportunities to prevent revenue and cost leakage

  • Deal with any queries from stakeholders relating to charges we receive from providers

  • Work with Operational colleagues and suppliers to ensure carrier invoices are managed and overdue balances are minimised

  • Support the management Capita group accounts payable team should urgent payments be required

  • Maintain the accuracy of data which is managed by third-party contractors

  • Manage the reporting of carrier spend from a third-party contractor which will result in the monthly allocation and journaling of our c£40m p.a. cost base

  • Analyse supplier data to ensure costs are genuine and accurate with an initial focus on carrier and voice support & maintenance costs

  • Work with Operational colleagues to validate and challenge charges

  • Ensure all charges which are highlighted as invalid are disputed with suppliers

  • Ensure all charges received from providers, which we are entitled to pass onto our clients, are added to client billing on a monthly basis working with appropriate stakeholders to resolve disputes

Your experience will include:

  • Part-Qualified, ACCA / CIMA, Accountant (required)

  • Track record of providing insight that directly impacts the P&L (required)

  • Complex data analysis (required)

  • Advanced excel skills (required)

  • Strong written & verbal communication

  • Ability to effectively partner with operational & non-finance stakeholders

  • Telco or related industry experience (desirable)
