EllisKnight is working with a rapidly growing business to recruit an Interim Financial Controller to join their team based in Cirencester. This is a 3 - 6 month duration.

As Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include: Manage the Production of Management Accounts and Accounting processes including AP, AR, Statutory accounts, cash management, tax and VAT.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring appropriate controls are in place and enforced
  • Ensure Cash & Working Capital is Managed and Monitored Daily / Weekly / Monthly
  • Ownership of Monthly Management Accounts production
  • Prepare the Annual Statutory Accounts
  • Manage the AP process ensuring cash discounts are maximised and suppliers paid on time
  • Manage the AR process ensuring all debts paid
  • Budgeting / Forecasts for Cashflow and Balance Sheets
  • Complete VAT submissions and ensure payments are made on time
  • Complete corporation tax computation in full and on time ensuring full compliance
  • Responsibility for ensuring National Statistics Returns are completed
  • Manage all business compliance issues/process
  • Ownership of year end process ensuring accuracy and deadlines met and completing necessary analysis for auditors
  • Manage the audit process ensuring a 'no surprise' culture
  • Lead, coach and manage 5 direct reports

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA with a practice background)
  • Strong managerial and leadership skills
  • Good Communication and Influencing skills
  • Up to date knowledge of Financial Reporting Requirements
  • Advanced Excel Skills
