Search Consultancy are recruiting for a ASH & CI Manager for a large well know online retailer.

Job Summary:

The purpose of the role is to cover absence, sickness and holidays for Shift Operations Managers across Outbound (Pick/Pack/Dispatch), Inbound and Returns departments therefore a flexible approach is required.

The 'ASH' & CI Manager has responsibility for ensuring smooth process flows from receipt to release as saleable stock.

The 'ASH' & CI Manager will work with the departmental and operations management team to increase productivity, introduce change and forward planning, management reporting, liaising with both internal and external departments.

Hours : Monday to Friday 09.00- 17.30 must be flexible as when covering holidays the hours will be 12 hour shifts .

Salary : £35,000 to £38,000

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership: Daily management of compliance to departmental processes via comprehensive SOP'S and Training Guides across all departments therefore a full understanding of each department is required.

Project Management and Continuous Improvement: Identify and develop the implementation of improved working practices and continuous improvement of the Burnley DC.

Daily management reporting: Collate & check data. Publish to management. Analyse and react to data within the processing reports. Produce other reports as required. Maintain & publish KPI reports.

Departmental Knowledge: To ensure the full cycle of goods in and processing, stock control, re-bagging and dispatch is effectively planned and implemented.

To maximise output and service levels, manage and control staffing levels to optimise use of resource.

Liaison with internal/outside agencies: To form strong relationships with departmental leaders with both warehouse and Head Office. To publish and issue information to all internal/external departments. To instigate and project manage process upgrades with Imports, I.T, QC and Buying/Merchandising Departments. Liaise with all other internal departments for forward planning and productivity, to ensure the required service levels are met. Liaising with external departments to ensure priorities are agreed and communicated.

Budget Control: To work with a departmental budget to control costs of staffing, systems improvement, expansion planning.

Training: Control & recording of operational training of staff. Arranging training as required with internal or external agencies. Control & recording of 5S auditing.

Manage Objectives: Achieve company & departmental KPI's set out by Senior Management, setting goals with the aid of KPI'S for your Team to allow sustained performance growth. Working with senior members of operations team on the requirements and planning of WMS system

Health & Safety:

  • Ensures that all employees within department work in a safe manner
  • Fully understands the fire, emergency and health & safety procedures of the workplace
  • Ensures that all potential and real hazards are taken care of immediately, and are reported appropriately.
  • Works in a safe and responsible manner, within the framework of legislation and workplace specific policies.
