Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Engineer - Active Directory / Group Policy, MS Exchange 2010/2013, MS Office 365, Cisco: LAN/WAN, Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix. Permanent, London, £50k - £55k +Oncall +Bonus.

Global Laws Firm currently seeks an Infrastructure Analyst / 3rd Line Support Engineer to be responsible for dealing with escalated support issues around Wintel Server Infrastructure employed by the company globally. You will work on a combination of escalated support issues as well as project implementation across desktop, server and network infrastructure environments.

Based out of the London HQ, you will largely work on BAU support but also a number of projects for infrastructure migrations and upgrades. You will be required to work in a small team and be involved with infrastructure changes and the implementation of new solutions and technology. Secondly, you will respond to escalated support calls escalated from the helpdesk relating to Wintel server and Cloud technologies (Windows Server, VMWare, Citrix XenApp, MS Azure/O365). Windows Server issues such as user account creation and maintenance (Active Directory/Group Policy), MS Exchange and MS Office365 accounts and permissions as well as LAN/WAN/Wireless network connectivity problems, VMWare, Hyper-V and Citrix virtualisation technologies. You will be required to provide high quality customer support for users of server technology and complete documentation within the knowledge base.
We are searching for candidates who have acquired a combination of technical qualifications (from: MCSE, MCITP, CCNA, VCP etc) combined with commercial experience within a 3rd line IT support engineering capacity. You will be comfortable working with windows server (Windows Server 2012/2016) and be able to troubleshoot issues in Active Directory & MS Exchange, MS Office 365, DHCP, DNS configure and troubleshoot basic Cisco based LAN/WAN networking issues. You will also have experience dealing with escalated support issues relating to desktop technologies: PC's, Laptops, Mobile Devices (iPhone and Android) etc. Experience with VMWare, Hyper-V and/or Citrix will also be required. Any exposure to MS Azure and/or Cisco LAN/WAN technologies would be beneficial although non-essential. You will ideally have been working within another professional services firm, law firm, accountancy practice, consultancy or medium sized financial services company and have been involved in both support and infrastructure projects, hopefully to include O365 migrations and MS Azure cloud based infrastructure. Degree level education preferred, exceptional communication skills pre-requisite.
