Commercial Finance Business Partner - Sales

Youll be working for a FTSE Top 25 company, and one of the top 3 TV advertisers in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Commercial Accountant to really make their mark in a globally renowned and international organisation.
The role of a Commercial Accountant is to provide a high level of financial support, challenge & control for the UK Sales teams. Youll be given full ownership and accountability in helping to drive the success of some of the worlds biggest brands, as well as the opportunity to establish yourself as a true Finance Business Partner.
Location: East Berkshire
Salary: 49,000 59,000 Package + Bonus

Role Summary:
Business partner with Sales to develop and build strong relationships with your customer teams, ensuring that you are fully involved in their financials.
Develop and review joint business plans made between RB and our external customers to ensure that opportunities are mutually beneficial and drive the correct behaviours.
Review any ad-hoc/incremental investment opportunities to assess and improve profitability, and provide challenge to ensure that financials and assumptions are robust
Review and challenge monthly customer forecasts, driving accuracy of the forecasting process
Key member of the profit max team; supporting investigation of audit claims and driving value by counter claim production within Grocery area
Manage debt and customer deductions, ensuring that overdues are kept to a minimum.
Business partnering with senior account managers to ensure that invoicing process is accurate and timely
Complete ad-hoc financial analysis of UK projects to ensure sound financials are behind decision-making processes
Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to improve the return on trade investment and customer gross margin
Training for non-finance managers being a part of wider business training deployment (with a particular focus on trade spend)
Support for wider finance team to learn critical financial responsibilities including financial reporting and analysis from Sales Finance lens

Experience/Qualifications Required:
Qualified or Part Qualified ACA or CIMA with strong Academic background
Strong commercial awareness and previous experience of business partnering in a cross functional environment, ideally within a commercial team
Experience at a large multinational organisation
Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organisation that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career within commercial finance.
Proven track record of building relationships outside of the finance function with well-developed communication skills
Advanced Excel skills with experience of scenario modelling
