The successful candidate will be involved in designing drainage, road infrastructure and earthworks on a variety of projects covering residential, commercial and more. You will prepare drawings from concept through to construction. You will prepare flood risk assessments and work on sustainable urban drainage systems from concept through to implementation.
You will be expected to design and detail works associated with highway and drainage agreements as well as other relevant consents, permits and negotiation of technical approvals. You will carry out site audits & confirm if the project is feasible. You will coach, support & lead other team members in their report writing and technical work.
You will hold a degree and have some experience in a Civil Engineering role. We are interested in both candidates with 2/3 years experience as well as newly qualified graduates with less experience. You will have experience using AutoCAD, MicroDrainage and AutoTrack. You will have experience writing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, etc. You will have knowledge of national guidance such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, etc. You will be involved in all aspects of projects from scheme design through to construction on site.
