Network Support Engineer - Cisco

Location: Bristol

Job Title: Network Support Engineer, Technical Support, Field Support

Salary: £20k - £27k + benefits

Currently, have a Software Consultancy based out of Bristol who has a large customer portfolio who are looking for an IT Support Engineer to help with their SME customer base.

You can expect your role to be divided into two core areas of telephone support, onsite and customer networking / IT support.

The Role:

  • Document and manage support tickets
  • Make sure all upgrades and patches are carried out for the platform and in line with all related software and hardware.
  • Liaise with the Sales and Technical teams to ensure customer issues are looked after
  • Network Troubleshooting
  • Desktops and Laptop Support
  • Work in line with company SLAs
  • Research new products that existing customers may find beneficial
  • Carry out all checks around monitoring and maintenance of the platform's security.

Skills Required:

  • Cisco Knowledge
  • VoIP Configuration
  • Active Directory
  • Networking Support - DNS, DHCP, Routing
  • Experience of Supporting Windows
  • Routers and Firewalls configuration
  • VPN - ability to set up


  • Cisco Qualifications
  • Driving License
  • NAS and SAN storage knowledge
  • Windows Server experience
  • VMware / Hyper-V knowledge
