As a Solution Architect Team Lead, you will have line management responsibility for a team of Solution Architects providing solution design expertise into projects and programmes across Kingfisher. You will be accountable for the team delivery, ensuring they are engaged, effective and operating within the Architecture Governance Framework. You must be able to step into the role of Solution Architect, if required, to support peaks in demand.
With an awareness of the latest innovations and trends in technology, your team will be responsible for identifying and recommending solutions that best meet the business need and are aligned with the IT strategy and roadmaps. They will work with experts across application, integration and infrastructure to create holistic solution designs that put the needs of customers and colleagues first.
Encouraging effective communication of design decisions and recommendations to stakeholders will be an important aspect of the role.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will be leading a team of Solution & Data Architects with responsibility for the day to day management of resources and quality of deliverables. You will work with the Portfolio team to review demand for Solution Architecture resource onto projects and manage the effective allocation of those resources. You will play an active role in developing the IT Architecture function within Kingfisher, with joint ownership of Solution Architecture processes.
You will be driving continuous improvement in the Solution & Data Architecture capability within Kingfisher, including embedding the wider understanding of the role & its contribution. Alongside this, you will be encouraging the development of individuals within your team to enable them to realize their potential.
