Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Birmingham / Home based with travel to Client sites mainly based in the South of England (Northern England / Scotland and Wales are covered by other members of the team however there may occasionally be a requirement to deliver Projects outside of the usual region)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

Overview

We are recruiting for a growing company, whose payment network enables their Clients to generate a recurring new revenue stream from their procurement spend. Its offers early payment programmes for purchase-to-pay processes for buying and selling organisations. Your role will be to project manage the implementation of the solution across a number of Clients in parallel. Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, using your skills of engagement & stakeholder management, you will own the day to day management of the Projects.

Responsibilities

Project Management for the Client, throughout the full life cycle of the implementation & initial live stages of the project;

  • Building strong relationships with senior procurement and other stakeholders of the client, to successfully deliver the projects objectives;
  • Leading from the front when managing upwards in Oxygen and the client’s organisations;
  • Stakeholder management and engagement of the Client and Oxygen’s function leads & teams;
  • Working within Oxygen’s wider account team to deliver the programme aims and enhance Oxygen’s reputation within the client;

Key Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Significant project management experience - managing complex projects involving cultural/organisational change;
  • Procurement knowledge and experience, including sourcing and P2P
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to:
  • manage the escalation of project issues and resolve conflict effectively
  • pro-actively observe and solve problems before they impact project deliverables and milestones adversely
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, resource management and group facilitation skills;
  • Demonstrable confidence when dealing with uncertainty and the ability to challenge effectively;
  • Possess strong change management experience;
  • Methodical & analytical working approach, with the ability to innovate;
  • Experience in developing / enhancing project/service management methodologies. (Programme management and/or project management certification is a plus in this area).
