Brewster Partners are working with our client to recruit an Purchasing Administrator to aid the Procurement team in the purchasing of plant and materials for a leading construction company in Wath. The role has parking and is easily commutable from areas of Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Pontefract, Sheffield and surrounding.
The job involves ensuring that construction sites have the correct plant equipment and materials to complete each build in an effective and timely manner. The job will involve:
- Raising and placing material and plant orders through the system
- Keeping on top of requisitions and demand schedules
- Clarifying and evaluating quotes before ordering
- Maintaining up to date price schedules and supplier databases
- Assisting in resolving accounting and invoicing issues
- Collating data for rebate claims
To be successful in your application you need to have some experience within a purchasing environment, an interest in purchasing and a desire to progress in this area. Any exposure to the construction sector would be beneficial as you will need to interpret technical and architectural drawings and specifications.
