Stanton House are currently working with an industry leading business based on the Surrey/Hampshire border to help recruit an Interim Financial Controller for a period of 3-6 months.

To deliver in this high-profile position you will need to have:

  • A CIMA, ACA, ACCA (or equivalent) qualification with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment; the company is open to candidates from all sectors
  • Strong technical skills, experience in running month end processes including statutory/management accounts and payroll
  • Relevant experience in the improvement of all processes and the implementation of new ways of working
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a small team

A little more information about the role:

  • You will be primarily responsible for the production of management and statutory accounts in an accurate and timely manner
  • You will lead a small team of finance professionals, providing development and training as required
  • Ensure the development and implementation of back office systems and procedures to improve productivity and create efficiencies
  • Produce the monthly Management Accounts- P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow on schedule
  • Act as first point of contact during the external audit, submit VAT returns and any other Inland Revenue payments
  • Preparation of head office payroll, ensuring the smooth processing of payment via BACS and ensuring the Group Pension scheme is fully compliant including all payments
