We’re seeking 1st Line Support Engineers to join a global business based in Cambridgeshire. As the 1st Line Support Engineer, you will deal with any 1st line issues relating to hardware and software during a period of change. Previous experience within an IT software Helpdesk is desirable, providing that a high calibre of technical knowledge and understanding in Windows Server and Networking.

We seeking experience in a number of areas:

Servers

  • Windows Server 2016 - 2012 - 2008
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • Hyper-V
  • VMware (some DR hosts running free ESXi)
  • SAN (3Par knowledge an advantage)
  • Veeam
  • HP Servers
  • Patching (WSUS)
  • Windows 10

Networking

  • HP Switches (Layer 2 and 3)
  • VLANs and Subnetting
  • Cisco Wireless (Aironet and Wire LAN Controller)
  • Firewalls (Fortigate, Cisco ASA)
  • Basic Routing (Static and connected routes)
  • 802.1x Wired and Wireless (Windows NPS)
