Role: Commercial Finance Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is a very well-established business who are seeking a Commercial Finance Manager. This is a B2B role and the successful candidate will be dealing with other businesses on daily basis. The role will involve reporting and analysis of financial aspects across the business, assist with revenue and profits as well as ensure efficiencies of processes along the way. Managing a team of two and partnering closely with many other colleagues outside of the finance team and the wider business, therefore requires someone with brilliant communicating skills.

Main Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager:

  • Preparing the company’s annual budget based on data collected
  • Managing the monthly/quarterly forecasting and budgeting
  • Producing reports on profit loss and balance
  • Assessing sales, gross and net margin performance
  • Recognising trends and the long-term impacts of commercial decisions
  • Investigating performance issues highlighted by self or senior management.
  • Working alongside Senior Level Executives to optimise sales and profitability
  • Analysing and improving on financial procedures for better financial control
  • Overseeing the financial awareness of non-finance staff
  • Participate in identifying areas of improvement in the processes and procedures carried out
  • Liaising with the Buyers on financial and commercial decision making, current performance and forward-looking plans to enable the delivery of the business plan.

Ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager role:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience working in a B2B finance role
  • Finance Business Partner attitude
  • Strong IT and MS Office skills (specifically MS Excel)
  • Driven, passionate and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
