This established market leader in a growing niche, requires a highly commercial Product Manager to take responsibility for the commercial management and development of the Activities portfolio (inc. golf/ski/walking), delivering on key performance indicators and driving high commercial performance to meet financial objectives.

Responsibilities include:-
Creative research & development of group tours.
Effective planning, sourcing and negotiation of hotels, flights, excursion and all other tour arrangements.
Continual improvement and development of the company's current product portfolio.
Provision of commercial focus across the business to support the product range.
Production of business guidelines on the sales proposition of products and input into the marketing process.
To ensure profits and margins are managed across tour portfolio, through pricing of product, rapid confirmation of contracts, profit optimisation and improvement, review of marketing & promotion revenue and generation input.

Additional Responsibilities

Product delivery into the business: Creation of product briefs, brochure sign-off, handover of contracts, delivery of training, production of Tour Manager briefing information.
Quality control implementation - quality monitoring & supplier liaison to effect improvements as required.
Operational issues / problem solving - product support for other departments.
Supplier relationship building - key supplier contact.
Line management of the team members.
Development of product knowledge across all departments within the business.
Capacity management - initial capacity procurement, yield management and procurement of additional capacity as necessary.

Key Requirements

Strong experience of creative group tour development.
Excellent, proven track record of supplier negotiation.
Commercial experience & awareness.
Good supplier relationship building experience.
Interest and travel expertise.
Excellent numerical skills.
An eye for detail & accuracy.
Language skills desirable.
