As their incoming Demand Manager, you'll be replacing somebody who has recently been promoted.
S&OP is developed, and Demand Planning is one of the mature pillars of the process. You'll be taking the lead to further fine-tune and embed good demand planning across the supply chain.
Key areas you'll impact include delivering an 18-month rolling forecast, increasing forecast accuracy, and reducing forecast bias.
With a mix of seasonal short and long lead time products supplied to major multiples and independent retailers, Demand Panning is crucial to the success of the business.
There are some specific medium-term projects that you will support too, including a SAP implementation and developing collaborative forecasting with retailers. This is set against a backdrop of a growing business looking to double their turnover in the next 4 years.
