Supply Desk are working with a Secondary School based in Basingstoke that are looking to appoint a full time Food Technology teacher starting after Easter half term to the end of July.

Pay to Scale

Location: Basingstoke

April 23rd until July 2019

About the role:

The role will be teaching Food Technology mainly in Key Stage 3 to the AQA syllabus, so experience in this is essential. The timetable will be around 15 lessons a week with adequate time for planning and marking. You will also be expected to help cover some other lessons too. The school are looking for someone with recent experience teaching Food Technology and has health and safety licence to carry out practical lessons. It is important that you possess good classroom management and the ability to build a strong relationship with students and colleagues in a short space of time. The Technology department is very supportive and works closely together in assisting each other. The school will only consider fully qualified teachers with recent experience teaching KS3/4.

The school is a Secondary LEA school. The school is Ofsted graded as Good with Outstanding features and continues to perform highly. In the schools last GCSE results, 85% of students achieved a 9-4 grade in English and Maths. Geography is an increasingly popular subject within the school, and performs very well overall.
