Vision for Education is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Worker to join our successful supply team to work in an SEMH setting based in Kirklees. This is a rewarding role, which will commence in September 2019.

Recruiting for an SEMH school based in Kirklees we have a requirement for a Behaviour Support Worker to work closely with a young Male student.

The role

This role is specifically working with Secondary students who struggles Socially. Students are in the SEMH setting on a permanent basis due to no longer being in mainstream education. This role can be extremely challenging so the ability to be able to de-escalate situations quickly is essential. We need a strong, committed Behaviour Support worker who will be resilient and turn situations into positives. It’s vital that you are able to build relationships fast and gain trust. Although this can be quite a challenging role at times, it is also extremely rewarding. We are recruiting for a specialist SEMH setting that cater for mixed students from KS2 – KS5.


To be considered for the Behaviour Support Worker position, you will:

Have experience of working in a similar environment, whether it be residential / Care / Mental Health.
Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
Have an interest in making a different in young learners lives.
