Monarch Education are working with a diverse, vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Wolverhampton who are looking for an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to work alongside a boy in Year 2.

The boy has ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and would benefit from 1:1 support from an experienced Teaching Assistant to aid his inclusion in the classroom. The ideal candidate will

• Be experienced supporting children with challenging behaviours; experience of supporting ADHD is not essential

• Be confident working with children to minimise disruption and distraction to help improve concentration, behaviour and learning

• Be experienced working with children who need support to raise attainment; using creative resources and different approaches to help pupils access the curriculum

• Have a good working knowledge of the National Curriculum at Key Stage 1 including Phonics; an understanding of the Early Years Framework would beneficial but is not essential

The school is a large 2 form entry Primary school in the Wolverhampton area. It has been graded as ‘’Good’’ by Ofsted during this past academic year, and is now striving to become Outstanding. The senior leadership team have a very clear vision for the school and all staff that work there are part of this journey. The successful candidate would be working closely with the SENCO and Class Teacher to help remove barriers to learning for this pupil
