Our client, an Oil & Gas Operator based in the city centre are looking to recruit a Finance, Planning & Reporting Analyst on a staff basis.

This is a key role within the finance function that supports and collaborates with several stakeholders in the business. You will provide Financial and Analytical support to the Asset team and the wider Finance Partnering team to deliver Quarterly Forecasts, Annual Plan & provide Management reporting & analysis. The role requires regular interaction with the business to ensure that the Forecast & Plan are delivered on time and accurately. The candidate will need to be proactive and engage widely across the business with both Finance and non-finance teams.


* You will be responsible for co-ordinating & inputting the LV & Plan submissions for Spirit Assets into our Financial System (BPC), ensuring deliverables are accurate, changes are understood and validated where necessary.

* Reporting on the output of latest forecasts & plan, working closely with the wider Finance team to communicate and assist them in understanding changes & updates as required.

* Responsible for producing the monthly reporting pack (MBR) as well as the plan/forecast reporting pack and regular analysis for their specific asset teams; tracking performance against key targets and metrics.

* Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvements in the planning and forecasting process, tools & assumptions to deliver better & more informed decision making.

* Good Systems knowledge, including Excel and BPC (preferred but not essential)

Qualifications, Experience:

* You can demonstrate excellent communication skills, will be capable of communicating at all levels within the business and able to build good working relationships with key stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

* Experience of planning & analysis and demonstrate experience in analytical and problem-solving skills – to make sense of complex data, assess options and make sound recommendations.

* Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines ensuring all deliverables are fulfilled on time and of good quality; whilst also being able to pick up and complete urgent ad-hoc tasks.

* Be flexible and capable of working on own initiative, but also demonstrating great teamwork.

* Qualified accountant with experience in a business planning role preferred.
