Marketing Designer
Temporary contract for 12 months – Full time hours

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Marketing Designer to join our Marketing team on a temporary basis.
The Marketing Designer Role:
* To use your graphic design skills and knowledge of our audiences to support the Marketing team to deliver campaign assets that will help us to achieve our marketing objectives
* To support colleagues in the commercial team to create visually appealing and high quality signage, POS and print materials to enhance the visitor experience
* To liaise with external designers, printers and signage companies to deliver high quality campaign materials and signage on brand, on budget and on time
* To support the Marketing Officer in the development and delivery of the content marketing plan across all of the Chester Zoo channels
* To support the team to develop print and publications for both internal communications and CRM purposes, based on your understanding of our audiences
* To find innovative ways to share our content and ensure that our brand values and guidelines are at the heart of everything that we do
* To liaise with the interpretation team to ensure a coherent approach to onsite branding and theming
The successful candidate for this Marketing Designer role will:
* Have a formal qualification in design and proven track record in working with design software
* Have experience of working under pressure to deliver design work of the highest quality
* Have exceptional attention to detail and an understanding of audiences and brand
* Have knowledge of the print process using a range of different materials and experience of digital design
* Have good project management skills and the ability to work alongside external designers and printers to deliver projects on time and on budget
* Have experience of taking a design brief from internal clients and translating that brief in to a successful design output
* Have an innovative and enthusiastic approach to your own creative practice
* Have knowledge of copyright issues and how they may impact on your work
* Have an interest in Chester Zoo’s mission relating to conservation and education
Experience and interest in photography and film would be an advantage but is not essential.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Some weekend and evening working may be required, for which time off in lieu will be given. This role is a temporary contract for 12 months.
The salary for this role is £23,611.49 per annum and in addition we offer a range of amazing benefits which can be found on the Chester Zoo careers page.
