Electrical & Controls Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical and Controls Engineer to join a multi national manufacturing company based in the Northampton area.

The Role

Your key responsibilities will be to provide Electrical support to ensure performance of all production machinery (I.e. Production Lines, Presses, Printing , Palletises etc) are running at their optimum capacity.

You will be accountable for the repair, upgrade and modifications of Siemens , Allen Bradley and Texas PLC's with reading of Ladder Logic. Your role will involve reading electrical schematics and drawings and maintaining , troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical equipment. Also will be maintaining AC/DC motors and control systems and single phase and three phase both low and high voltage.



You will maintain accurate and timely records with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance work to ensure all work loads have been completed to the best of your ability and to a strict deadline.



You will be accountable for providing a fast and efferent response time to any breakdowns that occur, provide routine service maintenance across the site whilst ensuring all the company procedures and standards are followed.
Also encouraging, supporting and managing active participation in continuous improvement activities throughout the whole production and facilities site.





The Candidate

The successful candidate will have completed an engineering apprenticeship or Eqviliant such as HND/HNC.C&G etc in Electrical Engineering

A high standard of electrical/ mechanical knowledge will be required for this position; this can be gained from any Automation / Food / Pharmaceutical or any other production environment.

The suitable candidate must have a strong understanding with maintenance , repairs , fault finding and basis modications to Siemens , Texas and Allen Bradley PLC's .

You must be able to communicate effectively across the board, have excellent attention to detail and be highly competent with computers.

This Position will suit an Electrical Engineer , Electrical Technician , Automation Engineer , PLC Engineer or Technician.



12 Hour shifts Days and Nights
