Wingland Foods, based in Sutton Bridge, Lincolnshire employs around 550 people and each year it produces millions of bags of leafy salads, food to go salads and prepared vegetables for a dedicated customer. It is one of eight factories that are part of the Bakkavor Salads sector in the UK.


This is an Engineering Maintenance Planner position accountabilities include:

* To proactively drive and manage the use of the CMMS system across the site and champion maintenance best practice through the hands on engineers working collaboratively with your peers.

* To efficiently plan all maintenance activities, prioritising maintenance of critical assets to minimise engineering downtime. Moving the engineering maintenance strategy from a OTF situation to a proactive environment using ‘criticality assessment’ and Failure Modes Effect and Criticality Analysis.

* Using Condition Based Monitoring to support the step change in performance and efficiency of the existing assets through continuous improvement techniques.

* To develop achievable plans for all maintenance activities according to the CA and FMECA process and ensure issued maintenance plans are clearly prioritised.

* Ensure all required resources are available to deliver the maintenance strategy including external resource as required.

* Liaise with production, planning, maintenance and hygiene to ensure maintenance plans are bought into by all.

* To use a computerised maintenance management system to plan and control the completion of all engineering works. This involves preparation of the BOM for each job and planning of the correct engineering or contract resource. All activities to be undertaken within the ‘strategic asset management plan’ to ensure business objectives and performance requirements are met.

* Formal training in an engineering discipline either mechanical or electrical preferred or significant experience in the role previously.

* The candidate should have a relevant qualification in engineering. Must have expert understanding of CMMS and engineering best practices as well as experience of a maintenance or services team.

* Open to change, flexible and with the ability to follow safety, food safety and environmental requirements. Must accept challenge and be a team player
