Pay Rate and Working Hours:

  • £55k-65k PRO RATA
  • 36 hours: Monday - Friday
  • 9-12 month temporary assignment

Responsibilities:


Your role is to drive sustainable profitable growth and cash delivery across the North-West Europe & ANZ regional Business Unit (encompassing UK/Ireland, Nordics, Russia and Australia/New Zealand), with a specific focus on the UK/I markets. This is a commercial Finance role which requires a strong Financial Planning & Analysis skill-set and the ability to drive action to support the business' growth agenda.


Regional Commercial Finance Manager (50% of role)
Working very closely with the Regional CFO, supported by the regional performance analyst, to fulfil the following responsibilities:
* Develop long-term financial plan aligned to strategic objectives and priorities
* Oversee monthly/quarterly P&L forecasting process, steering delivery towards full year targets. Identify risks and opportunities to delivery and support markets to develop action plans
* Provide analytics and insights to drive business performance and inform pricing, investment and innovation decisions
* Oversee integrated and efficient monthly/quarterly performance reporting for region and markets
* Provide regional oversight to overheads investment, driving monthly tracking and reporting
* Liaise with global and regional Procurement and Supply Chain Finance to understand cost trends and drive understanding/actions into markets
* Oversee weekly cash forecasting process. Drive cash management capabilities and understanding into the markets. Steer delivery towards regional and market cash targets
* Provide ad hoc analytical and financial support to markets as and when necessary
* Support SAP (and related systems) implementation over course of next 12 months as we seek to fully separate from Unilever systems and transitional services

UK/I Commercial Finance Manager (50% of role)
Working very closely with the Regional CFO and UKI Country Controller to fulfil the following responsibilities:
* Sales Finance lead for UK Retail and Food Service teams, providing commercial Finance support regarding pricing/promotional decisions and annual Customer Business Plans, in order to drive sustainable, profitable growth
* Embed Net Revenue Management analytics, insights and actions into monthly business rhythm, leveraging both financial and market information
* Optimise short-term forecasting process to ensure clarity on forecast, risks and opportunities and actions required to further improve performance
* Develop Customer annual planning tool and embed into long-term planning process
* Further develop controls around trade investment spend, covering authorization and monitoring of spend

Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting qualification
  • Commercial financial planning & analysis and business partnering experience with proven ability to deliver results
  • Proven ability to work in a multi-functional organisation with varied stakeholders (seniority, functional mix)
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Delivery-focussed with a high degree of ownership and a positive, growth mindset
  • Collaborative and team-orientated mindset
  • Resilience and ability to manage and navigate through change and uncertainty
  • Insurgent mindset and passion to identify and deliver profitable, growth opportunities
  • FMCG experience is essential
