We are looking for a Finance Manager to join Pure on a full time permanent basis.

The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Finance with financial control for Pure by providing guidance, supervision and coordination of the Accounts and Payroll team whilst ensuring the timely production of management accounts and reporting. The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and ideally have management experience.

Duties and Responsibilities;
-Responsible for managing the day to day activities of the Accounts and Payroll team
-Lead and coordinate the work of your team ensuring a high level of standards. Encourage and develop motivation and individual potential
-Responsible for the general finance functions; Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Cashbook, Nominal Ledger and Payroll
-Complete quarterly reviews with the Accounts and Payroll team - monitor KPI's, help to ensure these are adhered to where possible and report/discuss with the Head of Finance
-Act as a point of contact for the Accounts and Payroll team for escalated
queries/issues, use initiative and take action to help resolve these problems
-Responsible for the Accounts and Payroll mailboxes ensuring the team are prioritising well and escalate to you when needed within required timelines
-Monitor mid-month reviews ensuring all requirements are actioned prior to month end
-Ensure communications (internal and external) are processed promptly and appropriately to ensure timely delivery of service
-Calculation of VAT returns and other statutory requirements for HMRC
-Responsible for all transactional requirements including period end/month end transfer and associated journals
-Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
-Maintenance of the fixed asset register
-Preparation of timely, accurate monthly management accounts including variance analysis and reporting as required
-Coordination of the budgeting and forecasting process and the annual audit
-Undertake financial analysis and reporting as required
-Ensure compliance with legislation monitor, review and develop processes as required

Good time management and remaining calm under pressure is essential with this role. Excellent telephone manner and a professional approach is important in this role. The successful candidate will have the ability to work as part of a team. The role will be based in Histon and have on-site parking and a good benefits package including 25 holiday, pension and private healthcare.
