Reed Education are currently working in collaboration with a local primary school based in Edgbaston, Birmingham who are seeking an Inspirational, dedicated and charismatic Teacher to support a Year 6 pupil with Autism. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and have experience working with pupils on the Autistic Spectrum. You will have significant drive and be enthusiastic about enhancing the performance of individuals both academically and socially. There will be Teaching involved within this role and so you must have a distinct understanding of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum and ability to deliver creative and innovative lessons.

This role will involve you Teaching a Year 6 pupil on a 1:1 basis, ensuring support and lessons are provided to them that enhance and challenge the pupil academically. The pupil is a bright individual but needs additional support to encourage his social and emotional development. You will also be responsible for providing additional support to the whole class through the lead of certain lessons.

The school are a 2 form entry school based within Edgbaston, Birmingham and pride themselves in creating a caring and nurturing school environment that enables pupils to achieve socially and academically. They provide a rich and varied learning program that prepares children for their transition into secondary school. You will be part of an environment where staff members are supportive and you will be provided with opportunities for continued professional development.

Ideal candidate;

• Holds qualified Teacher Status
• Has experience of planning and delivering creative lessons that engage pupils
• Has enthusiasm for achieving academic excellence
• Has an excellent understanding and deliverance of the Key Stage 2 Curriculum
• The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
