2nd Line Servicedesk Engineer

You will join an existing Servicedesk team providing a quality support service to the business under the guidance of the ServiceDesk Manager. Working with the internal IT department, you will provide office and field IT Support in accordance with Seddon best practice. Providing an effective and proactive escalation point for our office based Servicedesk team and any other channel as directed by management Provide initial Servicedesk support when required Provide on-site support as required in order to resolve customer issues Escalating tickets as and when required using internal guidelines You will assess the customers' requirements, accurately record the details in our Servicedesk system, resolve issues and admin requests and be comfortable to work with more senior colleagues on more challenging issues Liaising with partners and third parties to resolve customer issues Conducting personal queue and ticket triage and management Carry out installations and configurations of IT equipment as requested by ServiceDesk Manager and complete all relevant documentation SCCM PC & Laptop builds required for installation (as required) Successfully diagnose and troubleshoot network equipment, hardware and software issues Periodic overnight travel will be required as install locations are across the UK Complete all assigned duties in a safe and responsible manner IT | Support | Installation | IT Knowledge | Network Benefits 25 Days Holidays Pension Scheme Free Parking Private Health Care Professional Development Free Eye Care Vouchers Occupational Health Essential Skills A confident individual with excellent customer service skills including effective listening, patience, empathy and diplomacy as well as being an enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills Must have a full UK driving licence Experience in a desk based ServiceDesk environment and a similar field Active Directory Office365 SCCM Cisco Call Manager / Cisco Unity VMware Horizon/VDI Thin Client Environment MDM knowledge/experience Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP Basic network and troubleshooting skills ITIL qual or awareness WAN / LAN awareness Exposure to wireless technology including Cisco Meraki and 4G solutions VPN technology (Client) Email configuration on smart phones About Company Established in 1897, Seddon has come a long way growing from a small family business to a national company employing over 700 people.
