An exciting and important role within the Financial Control & Operations function of a Finance team has become available. The role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance existing skills, while assisting the team in its support of a business aiming to achieve significant growth in the UK wealth management market.

The primary focus is to provide support to the Financial Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

General

  • Preparing & maintaining journals and Balance Sheet reconciliations for our lease commitments under IFRS 16
  • Assistance with Month End Procedures including, but not limited to:
    • Accruals
    • Prepayments
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Preparing and maintaining cost analysis schedules
  • Cost control processes
  • Cash flow management information
  • Providing business support to stakeholders to ensure spend is budgeted, required and fully understood
  • Assistance with the production of internal & external MI & KPI’s
  • Provide cover for the Accounts Payable department as and when required

Regulatory Responsibilities (Compliance/T&C)

  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the regulatory framework relevant to the role, whilst practising effective risk management taking account of outcomes for clients.

About you

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

  • Strong Excel skills essential - including V-lookups and Pivot Tables
  • Working towards accountancy related qualification desirable
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering output to the highest standard
  • Ability to work to challenging deadlines whilst maintaining excellent level of service and output
  • Keen interest in business / finance processes with a questioning mind to understand and develop those processes
  • The ideal candidate will have a driven attitude, be resilient, flexible, a confident communicator, and not afraid to ask questions and problem solve
