One of our clients in Bristol is looking for a Consultant Transport Planner. They are a great company to work for and really value their team. They have both a Transport Planning & Infrastructure team who work together to offer a coordinated approach to clients. They deal with both residential & commercial work with a large part of it being Strategic Land Promotion. They work on a variety of sized projects some being as small as a few units up to thousands of units in one area. They work on projects from concept to completion and have a huge focus on quality over profit. They invest heavily in their software and for the right individual, you have a clear progression path which is fully supported by senior staff.
You will be expected to already be a well-rounded transport planner irrespective of your level to enable you to confidently discuss all aspects of the process at Local Authority meetings. You will already know a lot of the basics but be open to more mentoring from senior members of the team to enable you to progress. You will generally work on fee proposals of up to £5k. You will have great project management skills and you will manage how any assumptions you make could affect the outcome of your plans. You will have time to run through your projects with the Director and all work is checked which allows you to take on more responsibility once you feel you are ready.
You will have a great personality and whilst confident you must also be humble. You will be a true team player and want to buy into the company ethos. You will already have a suitable degree and a minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role. You will be keen to prove your worth and deliver first class results and customer service to all clients.
