Are you always trying to get your friends and family to share your love of Cycling?
Do you wish your hobby was your job?
Looking to inspire a community?
WELL……….. Evans Cycles has an industry first opportunity for you!
Our Woking store is recruiting for a Community Coordinator who will cement themselves and the store in the heart of the cycling community and engage more people into this community.
Upholding our core values, you will organise and run in-store and Business to Business and ride to work events and rides.
You will build and maintain partnerships with local cycling clubs and business and understand how these can be collaborative and work both ways.
Owning the store social media accounts, you will be responsible for uploading relevant community content on brand and in line with our key corporate messaging. You’ll also be able to use your creative flare to create videos and photographs to share with your growing cycling community and promote Evans as a brand.
You will work closely with Store Managers, Regional Managers and wider store colleagues, therefore you will need to be confident in your communication skills and good at building and maintain strong relationships.
As Community Coordinator your will;
- Be based local to Woking and be knowledgeable about the local area.
- Have a good understanding of marketing and events and able to translate this well into cycling and make it relevant to your local community.
- Able to confidently use technology to aid your work both in store and online.
- Able to communicate well both verbally and written with all parties, both internal and external, customers and clients, at all levels and of all abilities.
- Comfortable working alone and organising your time effectively.
Our community doesn’t always operate between 9 and 5, therefore you will be required to work in and out of store, evenings and weekends, longer days and sometimes in bad weather to deliver events and be available to our cycling community.
This is a FANTASTIC job for anyone looking to share their passion for cycling with beginners through to professionals.
We’ve come a long way from the local shop in Kennington Road, London in 1921. Back then we made our own bikes, and even won awards for the quality of our service. It was (and still is) all about knowledge, passion and value. These three things are still part of our DNA - we’re still a local bike shop, but now with nationwide stores and a huge online store that operates on a global scale.
We love to reward our colleagues for the passion and enthusiasm they put into what they do.
