Assistant Cost Accountant, Broxton, Cheshire.
We are looking for someone with experience working within an accounts payable/payroll function, basic accounting/bookkeeping qualifications will be an advantage.
The role of Assistant Cost Accountant will include reviewing invoices, expenses and credit cards and preparing supplier payment runs as well as Management of monthly accruals and prepayments completion of relevant Balance Sheet, Bank and Trade Creditor reconciliations Maintain Fixed Assets, Intangibles & WIP capitalization schedules & prepare relevant journals lease costs; maintain capitalization & accruals schedules, preparing any relevant journals. Maintain & manage cost review file; updating staff costs & overheads to ensure P&L is accurate representation of costs by department
Prepare any adjustment journals required following the cost review Complete separate monthly P&L analysis, for annual audit
Update General Ledger for any new, or changes to existing, Supplier or Nominal records Prepare & submit quarterly VAT return Support/ Cover AP Assistant as and when required Requirements
Experience working within an accounts payable/payroll function
Strong Excel skills and experience of working with General Ledger systems, along with good written & verbal communication skills.
