Reed Finance have been retained by a thriving Cambridge business to recruit for FP&A Manager role, reporting directly to the Finance Director who plans to develop the Manager into Finance Director.

The business offers a unique service to its clients, and have the monopoly in their sector. They have invested over £300m in both new developments and acquisitions in the past seven years, and operate in an ever expanding market, which, in 2013, created £6bn in gross value and continues to grow.

The FP&A Manager will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a first-class finance function and be instrumental in driving quality commercial information to support the growth and development of the business.

It is the plan that the successful applicant will develop to take over the post of Finance Director in time. By joining as FP&A Manager, this will enable you to develop a solid understanding of all elements of the finance function and detailed overview of the business.

Working closely alongside the Financial Controller and other department heads, key responsibilities will include:

• The design, development, deployment and maintenance of all internal FP&A reports including KPI’s and KRI’s.
• Preparation of the monthly forecast and quarterly business review for all areas of the business and related subsidiaries.
• Participating in the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes
• Preparing ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions.
• Monitoring the company pipeline, lending, profit, and cash against the targets on a weekly basis
• Reviewing and updating cost and expense trend reports, and analysing variations ensuring alignment with the forecast.

We are interested in discussing this position with those who hold a professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA, with proven experience of managing teams, with business partnering experience and expert systems knowledge.

You will be adaptable to ever changing situations, able to work efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines, and an effective influencer to develop solid relationships across all areas.
