Corporate Claims Assessor (Medical)
Our client, a major financial services provider, currently seek an experienced Claims Assessor to join their busy team.
Working in a dynamic and motivated team your role will be to assess new income protection and critical illness claims and develop effective relationships with IFA's and policyholders to enable the smooth running of the benefit process and ensure that strong client relationships are maintained. Your responsibilities will include determining whether claims fall within the company's acceptable parameters and gathering medical evidence to assist with the decision making process. You will be expected to authorise claims up to a specified limit and also recommend and price rehabilitation or back to work arrangements. Other duties will include meeting service level agreements and ensuring that a consistently high level of service is provided.
Applicants will ideally have possess previous medical claims experience good (group scheme knowledge will be advantageous). You will possess excellent judgement and interpersonal skills along with good decision making ability and ideally knowledge of medical conditions and other risk factors.
