A family owned multi-site business in Carlisle require a Finance Manager to take control of the finance function for the Group. The business operates across 3 local sites and are firmly positioned as market leaders, growing to £24m turnover since they were established 50 years ago. They have recently relocated their Head Office into state of the art offices due to continued business success.
Your role in your new job
This is a number 1 finance role managing 3 junior finance staff, reporting to the Directors. The role offers many “hands on” and business facing aspects. You will be responsible for the production of the management accounts pack; production of budgets and forecasts; compilation of year end accounts, being the primary point of contact for auditors; VAT returns; payroll; overseeing purchase and sales ledgers; ad hoc analysis as required by Senior Management. You will also be a key player in supporting in wider business strategy, growth plans and efficiency initiatives.
Your experience and our requirements
To be considered, you will be an experienced Management Accountant, competent in month end reporting routine. CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification is desirable but consideration will be given to candidates who are qualified by experience. Staff management experience is highly advantageous and you will be a competent user of Excel and finance systems.
