Finance Manager-TV Production

This rapidly expanding and TV & Film services group operates globally, is in rapid growth and is very much an employer of choice.

Their production arm has a range of rapidly expanding and award winning production SME's that boast an impressive range of titles together with a collective reputation for delivering innovative, cutting edge and high quality productions.

They are now looking for an extremely bright, highly motivated and driven Qualified Accountant to provide accounting services and financial support to a number of their leading TV/film production groups.

Main Responsibilities:
• Review of accounts (full P&L/balance sheet) business plans, cash flow and overheads for each production company, yearly strategic reviews and review of monthly management reporting
• Managing and guiding subsidiary companies and their incoming queries
• Preparation of Financial Dashboard summarising monthly financial information of various subsidiaries & preparation of papers on financial performance
• Providing financial information for both internal and external auditors about the various companies
• Review & make recommendations on financial and management best practice across the production group
• Coordinate year ends and revenue recognition policies across the group
• Following up on work arising from board meetings & management accounts
• Attendance at monthly board meetings
• Comment on financial systems, team structure & resources of subsidiaries
• Sensitive handling of confidential information in reviewing financial & other management information, preparation of papers for review by the group and in general correspondence and team meetings.
• Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by Clients and Internal Senior Leadership Team

Required/Desired Experience:
•Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA)
•Working in accounting or auditing, but wanting to move to project based / creative role
•Experience of working in TV/Film (ideally production) preferred but not essential
•Should be able to prepare accounts from scratch, carry out consolidation, understand accounts and recognition policies (IFRS and US GAAP)
•Strong excel and financial modelling skills
•Ability to process and analyse large volumes of data. Knowledge of SME accounting software i.e Quickbooks, Sage, etc.
•Financial analytical skill. Able to analysis PL, BS and CF
•Understanding of the forecasting processes, including working capital and cash flow forecasting
•Good with preparing graphs and charts in excel
•Creative approach and solution focused thinking
•Good project management skills, ability to quickly switch between projects and prioritize
•Willingness to travel between UK and US (LA mainly)
•Excellent communication skills in order to interact confidently and effectively with senior business leaders and staff at all levels
•Exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail
•Superb financial analysis & presentation skills (Intermediate Excel)
•Personable, engaging and highly credible
