Job Details:

c. £24K – Full Time – Permanent – Company Van & Petrol – Tools – Phone – Laptop -Branded Uniform - Contributory Pension Scheme – 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Client Details:

This is a young, vibrant Group of companies with their Head Office based in North Yorkshire. The work environment is friendly & supportive and high levels of customer service are paramount. The business operates internationally, with customers in the engineering/manufacturing sector using their coolants, cutting oils and specialist equipment to maintain the quality of their products, machinery and tools.

Role Details:

The business is thriving, and now seeks an additional Field-Based Maintenance Technician to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

The role is field-based, primarily covering the South of England, with some travel to other locations nationwide dependant on business needs. This could involve an occasional stay over.

The job involves visiting customers on their premises and providing essential maintenance services, which will include:

* Cleaning out CNC & other equipment

* Ph testing

* Recharging coolant tanks

* Recording key data, (including customer feedback)

* Acting as an ambassador of the company, providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with customers

* Promoting the company and the value it adds to each business user

The ideal Field Based Maintenance Technician:

* Will have worked in a similar role, and/or be very practical and have acquired some engineering knowledge & understanding through training or hands-on experience;

* Preferably will have had hands-on experience in CNC or other metal boring, cutting and grinding workshop environments;

* Might have had experience in other industrial service roles, e.g. waste water or materials treatment/recovery;

* Must have strong customer service skills and be able to form positive relationships;

* Will be a good self-manager, reliable and able to work alone, prioritising personal workload to meet business objectives – all essential for working in a field-based role;

* Must hold a full, clean UK driving licence.

An apprenticeship or NVQ qualification in mechanical, electrical or plumbing subjects would be great but not essential.

This can be a physically demanding role and flexibility around working hours will sometimes be necessary in order to get the job done.
