Starboard Personnel are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our new client. Our client is based in Barnsley and has been established for over 18 years and are market leader in the field of Residential Property.

Due to expansion our client is now looking to recruit a part time permanent Accounts Assistant to work 21 hours per week, hours and days are flexible.

You will be working alongside our clients Office Manager, covering day to day financial transactions and management accounts.


* Nominal cash and journal entries

* Bank reconciliations

* Account reconciliations

* Purchase & sales ledger transactions

* Prepayment & accruals

* Preparation of draft accounts

* Provide support to purchase ledger & credit control team

* VAT returns

* Provide support to other departments during busy periods


* Experienced in the use of accounting software & Microsoft Office specifically Excel

* Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures

* Highly organised

* Demonstrate excellent attention to detail

* Keen to develop in a role

* Excellent communication skills both written & verbal

* Professional approach

* Ability to remain on own initiative

* Previous experience using Xero would be advantageous
