An exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll officer has arisen to join a large well-established Coventry based business, this is a role suited to an individual who likes a challenge and can handle working towards tight deadlines.

As a payroll officer your duties will include:

• Dealing with the payroll processes for in excess of 4,000 employees monthly

• Providing accurate information and payments to employees

• Ensuring payments to pension providers and other parties are paid correctly

• Preparing accurate returns for HMRC

• Providing employees with ongoing support and assistance that meets their requirements

• Ensuring that all month end and statutory duties are completed

• Proactively seek out other views and methods to resolve problems and improve service delivery

• Forward plan workload to ensure deadlines are achieved

Experience Required:

• Proven knowledge of current payroll legislation.

• Proven knowledge of the payroll cycle and duties required

• Proven experience of using computerised payroll applications

• Ability to work on own initiative without supervision

• Working with sensitive, highly confidential information in a professional manner

• Working to strict deadlines

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
