Superb opportunity to join this Entertainment heavyweight that has created some of the most globally recognised & acclaimed film & TV content both past & present. They are very much an employer of choice and continue to grow & diversify both organically and through acquisition. They now require a technically strong recently/newly qualified ACA (1st or 2nd time mover) or ACCA with relevant experience to join their central corporate accounting team. You will prepare statutory/quarter end accounts, tax compliance and audit files for their UK TV production entities working across and liaising with all areas of the business. Excellent career prospects with the opportunity to move in to a more senior corporate or business related finance role in 18 mths -2 years.
Main Responsibilities:
·Banking and treasury reporting and administration Ownership of all statutory reporting for specific business units within the UK
·Timely preparation of tax packs and statutory accounts
·Assist with the management of the external audit process
·Direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting
·Assist with review of participation accounting
·Assist with the management of the statutory audit process including planning, fieldwork and finalisation, through liaison with auditors, business unit finance teams, tax team and senior management
·Preparation of draft tax packs, statutory accounts and all related documentation through partnership with the business unit finance teams
·Liaison with finance teams in business units and tax team on all aspects of tax reporting, including preparation of quarterly tax forecasts and information required for annual corporation tax returns
·Review and liaison with finance teams in business units and shared delivery centre on participation accounting
·Responsibility for preparation of accurate VAT and timely payment of VAT liabilities
·Compliance with PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) requirements
·Liaison with company secretary on board and Companies House requirements
·Assist with banking and treasury requests from Treasury and the business unit finance teams, including closure of bank accounts
·Review and settlement of intercompany balances
·Co-ordination with MIS function on all new reporting requirements
·Preparation of dividend proposals for each entity as applicable
·Liaison with shared delivery centres with regard to journal postings and reporting deliverables, including clearing down balances in company codes as applicable
·Subject matter expert within Corporate Finance department on statutory and tax reporting processes, issues and technical updates
·Establishment of excellent relationships with the finance functions of all applicable business units
·Any other statutory and tax reporting and compliance issues as directed by management

Qualifications & Experience:
·Newly/Recently Qualified ACA (1st or 2nd time mover) or ACCA with a statutory accounting background
·Exposure in Media (ideally production) preferred but not essential
·Previous experience of preparing UK GAAP Statutory Accounts and liaising with external auditors is essential ideally within a medium to large client
·Knowledge of SAP a distinct advantage. Intermediate excel is mandatory

·Ability to communicate complex financial information to relevant internal and external parties.
·Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence both financial and non-financial people.
·Proactive in seeking improvements to current accounting and participations procedures.
·Proven track record in working to deadlines and under time pressure
