Ward 1 St Andrews Community Hospital is a 22 bedded unit which specialises in rehabilitation and complex discharge planning.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an activities co-ordinator to join our team. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will have significant, successful experience of planning, organising and facilitating activities. You will have the ability to tailor activities to suit the needs and abilities of the patients and to plan, prepare, and deliver sessions for both groups and individuals

The post holder will develop an activities programme and use a range of activities to provide group and individual sessions which promote physical, social and mental well-being working closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide meaningful activities.

The post holder will communicate with the patient, the relatives/carer, and multidisciplinary team and external agencies involved in the provision of the patient’s care and report all communication as required.

Previous experience of Activity Coordinator work is desirable, but not essential as training and support will be given. For this post, we warmly welcome applicants who have previous carer experience.
