Overview:

BSI has been enabling business excellence for over 100 years. With over 86,000 clients in 193 countries, our standards inspire excellence globally. We are a leading independent provider of cyber security advise and are members of flagship schemes including NCSC Certified Cyber Security Consultancy (CCSC).

Responsibilities:

Do you have practical technical or information security experience and think you have what it takes to move into consultancy?

The BSI Cyber Risk Advisory team are focused on helping businesses to understand and manage their cyber risks, and the team is growing with opportunities for consultants to develop as security architects and risk advisors.

You will need to have a strong grounding in technology or information security and have good communication skills to help you develop into a professional consultant.

You are likely to be educated to a graduate level or have completed a apprenticeship at higher level or above, and ideally hold some relevant technical or professional qualifications (MCSE, CCNA, CCP, CISSP, etc).

You’ll work with a huge variety of clients – one day you might be advising a global bank and the next you might be on site at a power station. The common denominator is that you’ll spend your days advising clients on how to protect their assets from cyber-attacks – whether it be protecting their customer’s data or keeping a critical national infrastructure running. This role gives you variety whilst allowing you to make a real difference, on a huge scale.

Whilst the roles have a base in a BSI office working closely with clients is a big part of the role for BSI consultants, so you need to be happy to be on the road and to stay away from home overnight from time to time. Due to the nature of the work you will need to be capable of holding (or already have) UK Government Clearance to SC level.

Qualifications:

Alongside your basic salary, you will also receive 27 days holiday (plus bank holidays and the option to buy additional days), private healthcare, an excellent pension, as well as a wide range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle.
