Teaching Assistant KS1– Primary

A mainstream Primary school based in Liverpool are looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant with recent experience within UK Primary schools to be a classroom based TA supporting within Year 1 and 2. Previous experience of delivering SATS or Phonics Assessments are desirable but not essential. The role will be a split set timetable between the 2 classes and teachers.

The classes are of around 25 pupils in each with limited behaviour problems. Some mild SEND but flexible working and an ability to adapt your teaching and delivery styles to help the different needs within each class is essential.

The majority of this role will be class based however from time to time you may be asked to take small groups out of the classroom for interventions. This could be a mixture of both classes.

In order to be considered for this role we require you meet the following criteria;

* Hold a relevant teaching assistant qualification (e.g. NCFE, CACHE or NVQ Level 2 or L3)
* Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
* Have previous experience of working in a UK Primary School in the last 12 months
* Have experience of working with SEND pupils in particular ASC and ADHD
* Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
* Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
