Our client is a West Midlands based chemical company which stock and supply chemicals and acids from leading UK and International manufacturers, as well as manufactoring their own range of specifically formulated products.
You will be joining an established chemical manufacturing company operating throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe. You will visit your clients regularly and so extensive travel around the UK & Ireland will be expected.
Your role will involve the normal elements of Key Account Management including sales negotiations, developing proposals and closing profitable sales. You will utilize sales data and internal systems to spot cross selling and up selling opportunities within your accounts. You will use your technical knowledge and information about your clients to draft contracts and agreements and prepare customer presentations.
The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Chemical Engineering and should have a minimum of 5 years sales experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. Candidates with knowledge of Acids, Ancillaries, Base Chemicals, Mansol Products and Metals will have a distinct advantage.
The role will suit individuals currently working as Sales Account Manager - Chemicals, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager and be living within a commutable distance of the West Midlands, although any UK location will be considered for an experienced candidate.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
