The role

Use of ERP system (MS AX) for:
- Data interrogation and validation
- Requisition and Purchase order entry
- Price and invoice queries

*Analyse and manipulate various excel data sets to cleanse, identify trends and determine logical solutions to issues
*Understand and present findings in a clear and concise way (Excel and PowerPoint)
*Maintain purchasing databases
*Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely return of any requests made (information or goods/services)
*Keep purchasing members informed of supplier related issues, including delays
*Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Engineering) to clarify any requests
*Recommend improvements in working practices and processes
*Prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting tools (Excel and PowerPoint)
*Support purchasing members in other areas as required

The person:

*Must be proficient in using V-Lookup and pivot tables
*Highly efficient in analysing data
*You'll be working with complex purchasing systems, requiring a high level of concentration and attention to detail
*Intermediate to advanced excel skills
*You will need excellent communication skills in order to interpret findings and requirements and present data in a clear and compelling way
