For this post you should be a caring Psychology graduate who has a history of academic success that includes a 2:2 or better in your degree and previous experience working in a school-based role. SEN Teaching Assistant Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include helping the SEN department and class teachers to manage the differentiation of abilities within lessons, you will offer an avenue of individual and group sessions for particular pupils with extra needs. A daily duty of yours will be to ensure special needs and safeguarding are met whilst supporting the EHCPs of all pupils with SEN. You will gain invaluable experience as you work with the SENCO, class teachers and external agencies to forward the progress in academic and social areas of pupils with SEN. The excellent mentoring and support that you receive in this school is second to none and a dedicated SENCO will on hand for your development.
