A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer focused commercially aware Optometrist on a full or part time, permanent basis.
You will be required to work between 09:00am – 17:00pm except for Thursdays which is 10:00am – 18:00pm, so no late nights. The store currently turns over around £10,000 per week and the department are currently doing around 90 tests per week.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
As an Optometrist, you’ll not only be responsible for the Clinical Service, but you’ll be heavily involved in the commercial development too, which means bringing great new ideas and initiatives and marketing your department effectively, ensuring sales soar. You’ll get involved with the local community perhaps by joining local healthcare committees, or by doing something else you’re passionate about that will raise the companies profile. Whichever, with this company it’s all about working as a team to deliver a stunning service, so you’ll be involved in coaching staff too although they are an experienced team.
The role will entail testing times – 20mins (non inclusive of prescreen), pre-screen tests will be handled by an experienced colleague.

Compensation for the Optometrist
For your efforts a competitive salary of £45,000 – £55,000 is on offer along with a discretionary bonus scheme and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
