The Company This SME have grown significantly since inception and are on track to become the market leader and over the next 18 months with significant growth plans. The Role The Management Accountant position will require you to maintain internal finances, ranging from transactional duties, up to the production management accounts. You will also work closely with the Managing Director to provide real-time information to support commercial decisions and strategy. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a proven track record as a good all-round business accountant, preferably within an SME. On Offer This opportunity is offering a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 including an excellent benefits package and generous holiday allowance. The premises are based in Edinburgh and are easily accessible via public transport with parking available on site. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Preparing Monthly Management Accounts & updating company P&L Managing cash-flow forecasts and supplier payment scheduling Oversee, review, and adhere to the budgets for each business department Assist in company-wide budgetary planning and forecasting on a quarterly basis Preparing Quarterly VAT Submissions and Monthly Intrastat returns Fixed asset Register Ensure Stock Control is managed and implemented effectively Managing and monitoring payment gateways (online payments), including checking for fraudulent activity Liaising with external accountant regarding preparation of the Annual Accounts Defining and delivering a strategy of continual improvement to the Accounts processes as the company evolves Supporting the Accounts Assistant in their role of reconciling supplier invoices, updating accounts and making supplier payments To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Proven track record of operating as an all-round Accountant preferably in an SME environment Exposure to managing online payments & activity would be advantageous, but not essential Working knowledge of financial systems such as Sage, Quickbooks, Xero etc. Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact our Andrew Robinson for a private & confidential discussion regarding this opportunity.
