Inspired Selections are currently working with a high end independent chain of opticians with a great reputation in the area for clinical excellence and patient care.
They are looking to recruit an Optometrist to work 5 days a week across 2 practices – My client will also consider 2 part time applicants to work in one of the practices needed to cover. The role will see you working in air-conditioned, luxury rooms, with support staff and modern equipment such as OCT.
This is a very relaxed working environment with customer focus as a priority, all pre-testing done for you by the support staff in practice.
My client is looking for an enthusiastic, up beat person looking to work in a independent rather than the multiples stepping away from the “production line” style.
Responsibilities of the Optometrist
The role will involve conducting sight tests in 30 minute time slots ensuring plenty of time to make a strong recommendation and also offer their customers an extended test going into more detail which are 45 minute slots.
Contact lens fittings and aftercares are also part of the role. As this is an independent company that is renowned for going the extra mile you will be expected to come onto the shop floor to answer questions and get involved with patients as well.
Requirements of the Optometrist
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 2/3 years post qualification experience ideally within a clinical practice. You will possess excellent communication skills and will be passionate about delivering the highest possible levels of care. You will be hard working and dynamic – happy to go the extra mile. Within this company everyone is expected to take a certain amount of ownership and to treat their patents as though they are theirs.
Compensation for the Optometrist
For your efforts this company is willing to offer a more than competitive salary around the £55k mark as well as additional benefits, a bonus scheme and the opportunity to develop your skills
