Redmill Consulting world-renowned client is currently looking for a Financial Accountant for an exciting permanent position. This is part-time position for 3 days per week, hours/days are flexible. Based near excellent public transport links & with free-parking, this opportunity will ideally Financial Accountants who have strong fixed asset experience. Why work here? Excellent salary Flexible working hours including start & finish times Generous holiday entitlement Above average pension contribution Strong progression opportunities Job As Financial Accountant you will have the opportunity to be involved with the following: Financial management of fixed assets incorporating c£200m of assets Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations & interface from FAR to GL Reporting of fixed assets, & providing support to committees (e.g. Audit & Risk Committee) Conversion of WIP/ AUC to capitalised assets Provision of advice relating to capitalisation policy & practice Supporting the preparation of consolidated annual report & accounts Maintaining capital goods register & assist with VAT recovery on qualifying assets Provide in-house specialist advice on tax matters, working with external advisers Providing internal advice in relation to tax matters, including overseas taxation issues Liaising with external advisers on preparation & submission of annual Corporation Tax returns Liaising with external advisors, prepare quarterly returns, maintaiing policies & procedures, carrying out month & quarter end reconciliations Preparing other Balance Sheet reconciliations, investigating & highlighting issues, & making recommendations for clearing erroneous balances Preparing long-term cash flow forecasts, endowment accounting, & any covenant type reporting required by banks/ bondholders Preparing & maintaining Financial Regulations/ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Investigating options & draft technical papers for presentation to Senior Managers Participating in continuous improvement activities, involving process &/or system enhancements You As Financial Accountant you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following: Demonstrable experience of carrying out the above duties, specifically Fixed Assets Register, VAT & tax compliance & balance sheet management including reconciliations & cash flow forecasting Candidates must be at least part qualified Knowledge of ERP Finance Systems Operational experience with overseas operations Experience of drafting Financial Accounting opinion papers under latest UK GAAP Excellent organisational, interpersonal & communication skills Strong IT skills Should this role be of interest please apply by attaching your most up to date CV.
